MEdIES Coordinator & MIO-ECSDE Chairman, Prof Michael Scoullos contributed to the Side Event – within the UNECE 2021 Regional Forum on Sustainable Development – on how to empower the Youth with ESD for confronting the impact of the COVID19 pandemic.
Prof Scoullos discussed about integrated examples of approach to empower youth within international networking. He highlighted the youth engagement activities in the context of the Mediterranean Strategy on ESD & its Action Plan and shared the experience and insights of the series of the Summer Universities of young experts, scientists and enterpreneurs on sustainable management of special designated areas such as the Biosphere Reserves, the Natura 2000 protected areas, etc.
