By employing clever and effective waterworks that conserve, reuse, or better manage water—including Non Conventional Resources (NCWRs) like treated wastewater, desalinated water, and rainwater—the Zero Drop Project seeks to preserve precious water resources and address water scarcity. The Project also has a strong educational component, which includes the creation and distribution of custom-made educational materials, the school interventions by skilled animators, and seminars for teachers.

2024 school interventions in Schimatari & Oinofyta: MEdIES staff visited schools and engaged 235 students of Secondary Schools of the region through hands-on playful activities in order to sensitise them on topics around the water cycle, NCWRs and responsible water consumption.

2024 teachers’ seminar: In cooperation with the Centre of Environmental Education (CEE) of Thiva, a seminar for teachers was organized and facilitated in the Voiotia area on December 12, 2024.

Water Awareness poster for Schimatari: A sensitisation and awareness poster has been shared with the students and teachers. If you are local school and you want to receive hardcopies please email us at info@medies.net. Download the Poster of Schimatari (GR)
