Please mark your calendars for the upcoming webinar of the series ‘When Waters Speak’entitled: ‘Art, Journalism, and Science: A Collaboration on Water and Climate Change Storytelling’.

The webinar will take place on Zoom on Monday, 29 January, at 2 pm Central European Time (CET).

This session will spotlight the success of ‘Rewriting Climate Headlines’, a summer school hosted at the Royal Academy of Art in the Hague (KABK) in collaboration with the Arab Reporters for Investigative Journalism (ARIJ) in the summer of 2023.

This initiative brought together artists, researchers, and investigative journalists to explore the potential of cross-disciplinary collaboration and develop innovative approaches to storytelling about environmental justice. The webinar will particularly delve into a climate story related to water scarcity in the Jordan Valley and the voices of female farmers. The collaboration resulted in an investigative piece published in the media, an art exhibition during the ARIJ 16th Annual Forum in Amman (Jordan) and a video-cast shown at the COP28 in Dubai .
