“As teachers we always do have a million and one priorities. But I think that if we decide that being in nature, and being outdoors is implrtant enough, we make time for it.”
Teachers and members of senior leadership at Montrose Primary School in Leicester (UK) explain why they think it is so important for children to have regular opportunities to connect with nature whilst at school.
Connection to nature has been proven time and time again to do wonders for our wellbeing. At school connecting with nature can help boost pupils’ moods, improve behaviours, help ease stresses and anxieties and even boost attainment.
