Nagoya Declaration on ESD (2014)

The Declaration was adopted by the participants of the UNESCO World Conference on Education for Sustainable Development held in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, from 10 to 12 November 2014 at the closing of the UN Decade on ESD (2005-2014) to call for urgent action to further strengthen and scale up ESD  and to give the “green light” to the UNESCO to initiate the the Global Action Programme on ESD  (2014-2019)  in cooperation with governments, other UN entities, partners, private sector and civil society.
