The Joint Civil Society Statement on Climate Education Ambition that was just released underlines the importance of climate literate citizens in combating climate change.
The statement comes from an international alliance of labor and teachers’ unions, green groups, youth and parents’ organizations, research institutes, and international organizations.
The statement is directed at Education Ministers at the G20 Summit (June 2021), and supports the efforts towards making the all countries commit for Climate Literacy in the upcoming COP26 meeting on climate (November 2021).
