ClimateScience Olympiad is a free online competition for youth aged 12-25 years, aiming to educate them about various issues related to the climate crisis and empower them to be future climate leaders. It’s organized by Climate Science, a London-based charity, working to provide reliable climate education to students. First launched in 2021, the CS Olympiad reached more than 12,400 participants in over 149 countries and held its award ceremony at COP26 with Dr. Jane Goodall as a guest speaker.
CS Olympiad puts students in the shoes of leaders, enhancing students’ research, analysis, problem-solving, and articulation abilities. It also helps them develop a realistic perspective of the current climate crisis, understand the underlying intricacies, and provide the tools for more effective climate action.
