Young Person’s Guide to the Mediterranean Action Plan & the Barcelona Convention
This Guide is meant as a simplified introduction to fundamental legal texts and issues, that, when encountered in their original wording, can be unattractive to a young audience.
The Guide (designed primarily for readers aged between 11-17 years old) explains the meaning and purpose of legal texts through illustrated pages and simplified language. It covers a wide range of themes pertaining to the Mediterranean marine and coastal environment as well as sustainable development.
The Guide may be useful to educators and youth workers from the Mediterranean countries, to spark interest in young, inquisitive minds, to support extra-curricular activities (e.g. roleplays & debates), or to lead into studying more advanced material.
