MEdIES was happy to take part together with 100 participants (!) in the YOU(th) CARE Welcome on Board Meeting on 16 July!
The meeting brought together youth initiatives from Albania, France, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Morocco, Serbia, Spain, and Tunisia and introduced them to the key aspects of the project: Learn – Act – Engage.
It introduced also its key activies, such as the ongoing Mapping, and the upcoming Campus, Local Agendas and Voice/Advocacy campaigns. After following a short but inspiring intervention by Mr Andreas Chatzidakis (ARE Collective), the participants brainstormed on “care” related concepts, highlighting: community, collectivity, support, empathy, solidarity…
A second “welcome on Board” event is planned for all those who couldn’t make it, for the 10th of September (17.30 CET), while early in September the YC Platform, hosting the YOU(th) CARE Campus and the YOU(th) CARE Community is expected to be open for registrations!

In You(th)Care for Change we see interdependence as our strength, not our weakness: we admit of a shared vulnerability, that we all reply on each other to flourish.
In these “polycrises context” in which we live, including climate, wars, health, poverty … we claim that in order to thrive we need to live n “caring societies” , in caring extends beyond e.g. caring for the elderly, the sick or those that cannot care for themselves to a type os society, in which caring for one another is endemic.
