During the recent London Climate Action Week, the United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres announced the launch of the AI Environmental Transparency Initiative , calling on major artificial intelligence companies in the private sector to publicly disclose the full environmental impacts of their systems and commit to powering all data centres with renewable energy by 2030.
