Great news for ESD in Europe!
The European Commission in its Communication on the European Green Deal (December, 2019) proposes clearly ESD, under “Mainstreaming sustainability in all EU policies”, and specifically under “2.2.4 Activating education and training”. In particular, the EC proposes the development of a competence framework on ESD to help Member States to develop and assess knowledge, skills and attitudes on Climate Change and Sustainable Development; to provide resources and facilitate the exchange of good practices in EU networks of teacher training programmes.
