Ann Finlayson is the Executive Director and Founder of SEEd (Sustainability and Environmental Education). She was the only Commissioner for Education for the UK Sustainable Development Commission (2005-2011). Prior to this Ann was the Head of Education/Social Change at WWF-UK for 7 years.
Ann is passionate about education – specifically, the way we educate our young people today to give them the tools to cope in a world facing climate emergency.Her interests are in the role of learning in sustainability, and the transformative and inclusive methodologies needed for sustainable living.
SEEd works with organisations, educators and policy makers to catalyse, deepen and broaden education for sustainability approaches in schools and other institutions. We are a Key Global Partner with UNESCO for working on whole institution approaches to sustainability.
