2022-2023: Week-long Training courses on ESDTraining courses on ESD themes for teachers and adult education staff 100% fundable by Erasmus+ KA1
MEdIES runs week-long training courses on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) for formal and non-formal educators from European countries and beyond. The courses are eligible to be 100% funded by Erasmus plus Key Action 1 (KA1 learning mobility of individuals).
These courses combine short theory sessions with hands-on workshops, visits and co-creative group sessions. The courses start from a common “core” instruction based on the principles and methods of ‘Education for Sustainable Development’, in line with of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), followed by a different focus-theme, every time. The courses combine indoor and outdoor sessions and visits, always in line with the existing restrictions in Greece due to the pandemic, at the time of the course.
2022 deadline for KA1
Deadline for Erasmus+ KA1 applications 2022: 23 February 2022 (12:00, midday, Brussels time)
Cost: The tuition fee for the week-long training for the host institution is 560 Euro. The total cost (tuition fee, travel, accommodation and subsistence), is eligible to be 100% funded by the Erasmus+ Key Action 1 (KA1 – mobility projects for school staff and adult education institutions that either have an Erasmus+ 2021-2027 accreditation (Form KA121), or even without such an accreditation (Form KA122).
Covid-19 requirements (Feb 2022 update)
- The course accepts only fully vaccinated individuals.
- You will be asked to follow the existing protocols to enter Greece (e.g. PLF from, PCR or rapid test, etc)
- During the live course, all restrictions and measures due to the pandemic will be followed (e.g. mask requirements, etc.)
- Modifications in the agenda (e.g. visits) are possible, depending on the then existing measures and restrictions.
Marine litter Education
16-22 October 2022
The course aims to build trainees’ skills in delivering meaningful interventions to develop ‘ocan literacy’. It focuses on the issue of marine litter, using experiential, learner-centered, and hands-on training methods.

The course aims to enhance the professional development of formal and non-formal educators on non-conventional water resources. It capitalizes on our 10-yr experience having trained ~5000 educators!
